Who we are

Becca Westerly
CACAO SOURCERESS

With over 15 years in the bean-to-bar chocolate world, Becca, in true Sagittarius fashion, has always led with a spirit of adventure, curiosity, and a desire to heal the world. Raised on the Oregon Coast and married to a sailor, she has saltwater in her blood, which has informed the rhythms of her life.

Her journey began in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where she worked in deep collaboration with an Indigenous Kichwa community to help launch and promote the world’s first Indigenous-owned chocolate cooperative. That experience grounded her in a lifelong commitment to ethical sourcing, cultural respect, and regenerative business practices.

Since then, she has helped build a chocolate factory in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, consulted for chocolate companies around the world, and led capacity-building workshops for farmers in cacao-growing regions. She has mentored women entrepreneurs and impact-driven businesses, offering strategic guidance rooted in collaboration, creativity, and care. Whatever she does, Becca brings her creative flair and deep belief in the power of shared vision to create lasting change.

  • Thea Jane Van Gorp

    COLLAGE WITCH

Born under the sign of Cancer and raised in the strange magic of Bisbee, Arizona, Thea is a desert siren whose life and art are guided by the moon. Before she was 21, her voice was echoing through smoky bars and desert canyons. Her Cancerian spirit is deeply intuitive, tender, and protective, pulling her toward the beauty in overlooked things and the stories tucked inside them.

With a master’s in Anthropology and Education, Thea crafts analog collages that feel otherworldly. She collects insects like sacred relics, sings as ritual, and pieces together fragments of paper into visions of connection, transformation, and home.

Let the Wind Be Your Guide

A windrose is a nautical diagram used on charts to show directions. Originating in ancient times, it helped sailors navigate by indicating wind directions.

We like to think of each of us as sailors, using our intuition as our personal windrose to guide us forward, always adjusting to find our path.

Each chocolate is an experience and an opportunity to connect and reflect. Crafted to help you tap into presence, it invites you to taste, feel, see, and hear with intention. In that quiet moment, you may discover something new about yourself and the world around you as you immerse in the experience.

And if that's too much for you—well, the chocolate is damn good too!

At the heart of chocolate is connection: to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.

Working with cacao farmers has taught us to honor the generational stewardship and reciprocal relationship Indigenous communities share with the cacao plant.

Rooted in Ritual: The Sacred Connection of Cacao

“In Mayan culture, we drink chocolate to celebrate, to remember our ancestors, and to honor the abundance of Pachamama—Mother Earth.”

-Lidia, Mayan Fire Priestess

Traditional fire ceremonies are an integral part of Mayan celebrations, often accompanied by the ritual drinking of cacao.
